A Traditional Arts Workshop was organised on 4 April 2026 for students of Classes VI to VIII to familiarise them with India’s rich artistic and cultural heritage. The workshop introduced the students to three prominent folk-art forms—Warli, Lippan and Madhubani. Students of Classes VI and VII explored Warli Art, a tribal art form from Maharashtra, and created compositions depicting village life, festivals and nature through geometric patterns. Class VII students also experienced Lippan Art, the traditional mud-and-mirror craft of Gujarat. Students of Class VIII worked on Madhubani Art and incorporated flowers, animals and mythological figures into their colourful compositions. The facilitators provided step-by-step guidance and explained the historical and cultural significance of each art form. The hands-on workshop enhanced the students’ creativity and artistic skills while fostering respect for India’s diverse cultural traditions.
