Educational Visit to IARI, PUSA

On May 8, 2025, selected senior secondary students — Pearl, Ananya (Class 12A) and Satakshi, Veronika (Class 11A)— visited the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), PUSA, with teachers. The visit aimed to introduce students to agricultural research and career prospects in allied sciences.

The students were warmly welcomed by Dr. Girjesh Singh, who gave an insightful talk on agricultural domains, career paths, and the history of IARI. They then toured the Department of Biochemistry, where they observed advanced lab equipment like HPLC and UPLC, and visited labs focused on Tissue Culture, Proteogenomics, and Food Matrix.

The visit concluded with a field tour under the Centre for Protected Cultivation, where students learned about sustainable techniques such as hydroponics, aeroponics, and the greenhouse effect. The excursion was highly informative and inspiring, offering valuable exposure to modern agricultural practices and research opportunities.
