On August 21, 2025, Salwan Public School, TDSC, organized an E-Waste Awareness Drive to educate students on the hazards of electronic waste and the importance of responsible disposal.
The sessions, led by Mr. Vivek Vishal and Ms. Tarandeep Kaur, were conducted in two shifts for Classes VI–VIII and IX–XII. Students learned about types of e-waste, associated health and environmental risks, and the role of certified recyclers. They also gained insights into global e-waste statistics and the dangers of improper recycling.
Highlights included an interactive Q&A, a virtual e-tour of Namo eWaste Management Ltd., and announcements of follow-up initiatives such as an inter-house e-waste collection drive, student visits to recycling facilities, and the appointment of a Green Revolution Incharge.
