An Educational Excursion to Rashtrapati Bhawan Museum and Amrit Udyan

An educational excursion was organized for the students of Classes III to V to the Rashtrapati Bhawan Museum and Amrit Udyan on 21st August 2025. The visit aimed at providing experiential learning beyond the classroom and enriching students with historical, cultural, and environmental insights.
The students, accompanied by their teachers, began their day with great enthusiasm. The first stop was the Rashtrapati Bhawan Museum, where they explored the rich heritage of India’s highest constitutional office. They witnessed a vast collection of artifacts, historical documents, gifts received by Indian Presidents, and interactive digital displays that vividly showcased the journey of Indian democracy. The students were particularly fascinated by the audio-visual exhibits and the replica of the President’s study.
The group then proceeded to the Amrit Udyan, a sprawling garden that blooms with a wide variety of seasonal flowers, medicinal plants, and rare species of flora. Students admired the Mughal-style layout, the fountains, and the vibrant biodiversity. Teachers encouraged them to observe the importance of conserving nature and the role of gardens in maintaining ecological balance.
The excursion proved to be a blend of history, culture, and environmental awareness. It not only deepened students’ understanding of India’s democratic legacy but also instilled in them a sense of pride in the nation’s heritage. The students returned to school with joyful experiences, valuable knowledge, and a renewed sense of curiosity.
