An online parent-awareness session titled “Safe Screens, Secure Bonds” was organised to help families promote the healthy and responsible use of digital devices among children. The session highlighted the importance of maintaining a balance between screen-based activities, academic responsibilities, physical exercise, sleep and family interaction. Parents were guided to establish age-appropriate screen-time limits, monitor online content and create technology-free family spaces. The discussion also addressed cyberbullying, online privacy, gaming addiction, exposure to inappropriate content and the importance of safeguarding personal information. Special emphasis was placed on open communication and developing a relationship in which children feel comfortable discussing unpleasant or suspicious online experiences. Parents were encouraged to model responsible digital behaviour instead of relying solely on restrictions. The session strengthened the partnership between parents and the school and provided practical strategies for creating a safe, balanced and emotionally supportive digital environment at home.
